Committees
COMMUNITY STANDARDS AND LAND USE COMMITTEE
President Chloë Koslo
Shall serve as liaison for the Corporation with respect to growth and land use policies with governmental agencies, as well as public and private interest groups, under the direction and approval of the Board of Directors.
COMMUNITY AND PUBLIC RELATIONS COMMITTEE
Vice President
Shall facilitate communications for the Corporation, and strive to develop and maintain communications within the Community and the public sector, and with the town councils in neighboring communities.
FINANCE/WAYS AND MEANS COMMITTEE & WATER IN THE LAKES COMMITTEE
Treasurer
Shall prepare a budget for the fiscal year and present it to the Board of Directors for approval. Shall undertake fund-raising activities, to meet the requirements of the budget, and, to provide a surplus of funds. Shall be chaired by the Treasurer. Shall make available such moneys as are required by a standing, or special committee, as authorized the Board of Directors.
COMMUNITY HEALTH AND SAFETY COMMITTEE
Secretary Michael LaRosa
Shall develop and maintain programs to promote the health and safety of the Community. Shall work with schools and other Community groups.
ELECTION COMMITTEE*
VACANT
a. Shall coordinate the elections of Directors and alternates.
b. Shall prepare for, conduct, and report on, elections in accordance with the Bylaws.
c. Shall meet at least four (4) months prior to the next election.
d. Shall report monthly, or as requested, to the Board of Directors during its term of operating; and shall submit a final written report to the Board of Directors at the first Board of Directors meeting after the election.
e. Shall prepare a written election plan and present it to the Board of Directors for approval. The plan shall address the following:
i. Candidate filing period and fee.
ii. Preparation and distribution of candidate statements.
iii. Coordination of election publicity with the Public Relations standing committee.
iv. Vote eligibility list, including proof of residency procedure, and suitability for office.
v. Absentee ballot procedure.
vi. Polling place procedures and staffing.
vii. Counting of ballots and tabulation of results.
f. Committee Membership
i. The committee shall be composed of at least five (5) committee members. Notwithstanding the provisions of Section 19A of this Article IV of these Bylaws, at least one (1) of the members shall be a Director, and Directors shall make up no more than fifty percent (50%) of the committee membership.
ii. The committee chairperson shall not be a Director.
iii. A committee member, upon filing as a candidate for a Board of Directors seat or becoming a Director, shall immediately be removed as a member of the committee. If necessary, additional committee members shall be appointed in order to comply with subsection f(i), above.
